We created the solutions I wish I'd had.
As the CEO of a thriving medical practice, I was working seven days per week, sometimes as much as 20 hours per day. That's not an exaggeration.
While the financial success was undeniable, I wasn't happy. I didn't mind the hard work, and I didn't mind the relentless challenges that never seemed to end. What bothered me the most was the constant feeling that time and money was being wasted which caused me to have to work so much.
I spent my first year in the practice committed to the idea that, "this could be so much easier." It was undoubtedly the hardest, most unpleasant year of my time there.
In my third year, I proved my point and life was indeed easier. But, that wasn't until I'd brought everything in house and tasked myself with solving many of the problems that caused me to sacrifice all of my personal life to grow the practice.
It was around that time it occurred to me that I should consider offering these solutions to other practice leaders. I knew others would have the same problems, and that they were likely feeling burned out by the constant grind of running a medical practice.
My wife, Megan, and I decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship. With her experience in finance, and having worked with two startups, she was going to handle our own finance and operations while I continued building systems and teams to support clients.
While we knew there was a market for what we had to offer, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the need was greater than we anticipated.
